Fixing heavier items

When fixing heavier items, or to uneven surfaces, use temporary support if necessary until the adhesive is dry.

Advantages of  100% glue

Product therefore:

  • Can be used on larger surface areas.
  • Is repositionable.
  • Is waterproof rather than water resistant.
  • Is easy to clean up fresh spillages – simply wipe with damp cloth.

Product Uses

UniBond 100% Power Glue can be used for almost all small to medium repair jobs around the house.

  • The patented formula makes it especially strong for sensitive substrates including mirrors.
  • Its waterproof ability makes it perfect for Repair jobs in bathrooms.
  • Transparent formula makes UniBond 100% Power Glue ideal for bonding glass.
  • Other common uses include fixing broken tables, loose paving slabs, a broken shower head and loose carpet edges.

Getting ready

Before gluing, remove any residual paint or adhesive and ensure the surfaces to be joined are free of grease and dust. Vacuuming the surfaces is a good idea. To protect adjoining areas, simply mask them off with film or an adhesive tape.

Applying Glue

For the best results using UniBond 100%, check what type of materials you wish to glue. You normally only need to glue one surface or side. The best curing results are achieved after leaving the glue to dry for at least 24 hours. How much glue you need to use depends on how absorbent the substrate is:

1. For non-absorbent materials such as metal or glass, wipe down both surfaces with a damp cloth before applying the glue. For these materials only a thin layer of glue needs to be applied to one surface.

2. For absorbent materials such as wood, more glue needs to be applied. For larger jobs it is recommended to apply adhesive to both surfaces or objects.

For the best results wet both surfaces with a damp cloth. Apply a thin and even layer of adhesive to one or both surfaces to be bonded. Leave for 2-3 minutes then press surfaces together and hold, tape or clamp in place for at least 30 minutes.
